Barbara Ann Cochran, Olympic Gold Medalist, World Cup skier, and member of the "Skiing Cochran's, America's First Family of Skiing", shares her secrets of how to achieve more in your sports' and personal lives to get the results YOU want. She shows athletes - from beginners to world-class - how to increase confidence and improve results by overcoming obstacles within the subconscious mind, setting SMART goals, using creative visualization to "see" your dreams come true and create your self-fulfilling prophecy.
THE COACHING PROGRAMS
Whether an aspiring athlete or world-class competitor, you must learn to focus your energy to be able to perform at your best. Athletes can become their own best friend in performance situations through positive mental preparation with the program, "How to Gain the Competitive Edge".
In her program, “Parenting Your Athlete:How to Support and Understand What Your Athlete is Going Through”, Barbara Ann helps the parent understand what it’s like to compete – the pressures, the emotions, the motivating factors – and what you can do to support your athlete – what to say and do when your athlete has a glorious day or a frustrating day.
An often overlooked aspect of coaching is teaching an athlete the EMOTIONAL side of sport. With her program, "Coaching the Coach: How to Motivate Your Athletes", Barbara Ann reveals how a coach can help an athlete focus his energy and perform at peak levels.
MORE ABOUT THE COCHRAN'S
A Brief Cochran's History: Cochran's Ski Area was established in 1961 by Mickey and Ginny Cochran (Barbara Ann's parents) on an old hillside farm along the WinooskiRiver in Richmond, Vermont. The ski area helped put Barbara Ann and her three siblings, the "Skiing
Cochrans" on the road to Olympic and World Cup success as members of the United States Ski Team. Today, Cochran's Ski Area is a nonprofit enterprise and home to a junior race team, hundreds of school children and a host of learn-to-ski and snowboard programs.
